Oh Singel 404… If you’ve been reading my blog for a while, or just since the summer, you might have heard me mention this little sandwich place before. Singel 404 is popular amongst students, and you’ll often find yourself waiting 10-15 minutes for a table (outside along the canal if you’re lucky!) but it’s definitely worth it…
For the price you pay, the sandwiches are heavy-duty and absolutely delicious (as you can tell from the photograph below). I also recommend their soup (I once had a hearty tomato soup served with a large slice of fresh brown bread that was so tasty) and their mixed-berry fruit smoothies, mmmm!
Singel 404 is open daily from 10.30am-6pm, but don’t say I didn’t warn you about long lines/slower service around lunch hours (12-2pm). I’d opt for a late lunch instead! For more Amsterdam eats, why not try Bazar, on the Albert Cuypstraat, or IJScuypje, the ice cream chain?
