city trip: london day 4 (january ’11)

On my last day, my sister and I went to The Diner in Shoreditch (128-130 Curtain Road E2CA 3AQ) for breakfast – yummm blueberry pancakes and free refill coffees (see more photographs here)! Then, while my sister went to class, I took the tube to Westminster, saw the Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament, the London Eye, Westminster Cathedral, and walked down Parliament Street to Trafalgar Square for the National Gallery. See more photographs of Trafalgar Square by clicking here. The National Gallery was wonderful, and I found a very intriguing painting by Claude Monet, called The Thames below Westminster, painted in about 1871 (see image here), which was a perfect depiction of how the Thames looked that day. Oh London, how I love thee. Until next time!
